What you decide to release as
Speaker:content for your podcast is
Speaker:going to make or break your show.
Speaker:Content is king.
Speaker:We've heard it.
Speaker:We've heard it a million times.
Speaker:Has it sunk in yet?
Speaker:Today I'm going to go through a couple of
Speaker:ideas that I have as to how to actually
Speaker:help yourself get good content I've done
Speaker:some masterclasses before where I've
Speaker:surveyed the audience and asked them how
Speaker:they get new content for their shows.
Speaker:And a lot of them say they ask their
Speaker:audience, they ask their listeners,
Speaker:whatever comes up in their consults,
Speaker:they'll do podcast episodes on.
Speaker:And that's all well and good, but
Speaker:it only gets you so far, right?
Speaker:There's not that many topics potentially
Speaker:that you can get from what is
Speaker:essentially your small ish podcast.
Speaker:audience, let's say it's smallish,
Speaker:asking them might not actually be the
Speaker:target that you're going for either.
Speaker:So you might have people engaging
Speaker:with you on social media or on your
Speaker:podcast that aren't who you want.
Speaker:Okay, so what you're trying to
Speaker:get to are the people that you
Speaker:actually want to engage with your
Speaker:content, to listen to your podcast,
Speaker:to watch your YouTube videos.
Speaker:And so in order to do that, you need
Speaker:to be a bit more strategic in how
Speaker:you're forming your content around it.
Speaker:Number one, the first way that you can
Speaker:find content for your podcast is if you
Speaker:have a blog already that you haven't.
Speaker:Tapped into for your podcast
Speaker:go back to those blog pages and
Speaker:start just repurposing that.
Speaker:Grab some of the things that you've
Speaker:already done, make it easy for yourself,
Speaker:and give yourself some easy wins.
Speaker:Because if you have stuff you've written
Speaker:about before, you should Already be
Speaker:knowledgeable about that thing and it
Speaker:should be easy for you to talk on it.
Speaker:So that would be the first way that
Speaker:I would say to go and engage with it.
Speaker:And if you want to go a little bit
Speaker:deeper even with that is if you do have
Speaker:a blog, then you can go to the analytics
Speaker:section of your website and just check
Speaker:to see what the best performing blog
Speaker:pages are and do episodes just on those.
Speaker:The second way that you can do
Speaker:it is you can actually also look
Speaker:in the insights in the back end
Speaker:of your social media channels.
Speaker:So if you go to insights, let's
Speaker:say an Instagram, and you look
Speaker:through and you can find some of
Speaker:your best performing posts on there.
Speaker:If they can be turned into podcast
Speaker:episodes, then 100 percent do that.
Speaker:Again, it's another very easy
Speaker:way to engage, to get content,
Speaker:because it's already tried and
Speaker:tested, and people already like it.
Speaker:They've already said they do, so
Speaker:it should be easy for you to then
Speaker:create a podcast or video episode
Speaker:on that thing, because you can
Speaker:see it's already worked once.
Speaker:And if it's worked once,
Speaker:then it will work again.
Speaker:So, that's another.
Speaker:Quick and easy way to establish that.
Speaker:Anywhere that you have metrics
Speaker:around something that you've already
Speaker:done that isn't a podcast episode,
Speaker:look at those metrics, apply it,
Speaker:create podcast episodes around it.
Speaker:Now the next thing that we're going to
Speaker:talk about are three different that you
Speaker:can use to try and establish content
Speaker:that people are actually searching for.
Speaker:Meaning that you're going
Speaker:to be able to target.
Speaker:What you want.
Speaker:The first tool we're going to have a
Speaker:look at is just using YouTube itself.
Speaker:So, if we go just to YouTube, the
Speaker:easiest thing to do is let's say
Speaker:you wanted to talk on money mindset.
Speaker:The things that come up here are
Speaker:the most commonly searched terms
Speaker:for that key phrase, money mindset.
Speaker:So money mindset meditation is
Speaker:the first thing that comes up.
Speaker:So if money mindset is your jam,
Speaker:absolutely, I would recommend
Speaker:that you have some episodes that
Speaker:are short meditations, you put
Speaker:some background music in and
Speaker:they feel really Good and solid.
Speaker:You know that people want it
Speaker:because it's already there.
Speaker:People already search for it.
Speaker:YouTube.
Speaker:The next thing that you could do is you
Speaker:can use a tool called AnswerThePublic.
Speaker:Now, Answer the Public has a
Speaker:free version, which you don't
Speaker:get a lot of searches for,
Speaker:but you can also pay for it.
Speaker:I think it starts at around 9 US
Speaker:a month for 100 searches a day,
Speaker:which would be more than enough.
Speaker:but let's just try this out as a tool.
Speaker:So if we type the same thing in, money
Speaker:mindset, and what we're going to find is
Speaker:it's going to show us different questions
Speaker:that people ask about that key phrase.
Speaker:So we've got 21 questions
Speaker:about money mindset.
Speaker:first up you can see how
Speaker:to improve money mindset.
Speaker:That's a very simple, easy topic that.
Speaker:You could touch on how to
Speaker:change your money mindset, why
Speaker:money mindset is important.
Speaker:if you're good with your key
Speaker:phrasing, because sometimes it
Speaker:can be too broad and you just get.
Speaker:responses that aren't
Speaker:really that helpful.
Speaker:But if you can work on the actual
Speaker:key phrasing that you're using
Speaker:there, then you should be able to
Speaker:get some solid results here from a
Speaker:content perspective that then you
Speaker:can build off and create a stack of
Speaker:content that you can work within.
Speaker:Now, my absolute favorite tool is vidIQ,
Speaker:but that is because we have a YouTube
Speaker:channel, although it will work regardless
Speaker:because it's just a great tool.
Speaker:Keywording sort of function.
Speaker:If you go to the keyword section
Speaker:of vidIQ, let's say, for example,
Speaker:I wanted to do a video on a
Speaker:particular microphone that I love.
Speaker:So let's say it's the Rode PodMic
Speaker:and I would just go search and I
Speaker:want to know whether it's worth
Speaker:doing a podcast episode or a YouTube
Speaker:video on that topic, on that thing.
Speaker:It's showing you here that
Speaker:the search volume is high.
Speaker:But the competition is pretty low,
Speaker:and so it says overall, hey, this is
Speaker:definitely something you should look
Speaker:at doing a video for, I love this as a
Speaker:tool because it helps my thoughts get
Speaker:segmented into, if I search for something
Speaker:and the competition's really high and
Speaker:the, the, you know, the search volume
Speaker:is, is low, then I'm not going to bother.
Speaker:Like, I'm not going to do a video on that
Speaker:because there's too many other things
Speaker:that already exist for that and not many
Speaker:people are, searching for it, you know?
Speaker:So I want it to hit.
Speaker:the right metric.
Speaker:Especially when you're first starting
Speaker:to grow and you're wanting to establish
Speaker:yourself, then don't go for things
Speaker:potentially that aren't proven.
Speaker:Do stuff that's going to be more of a
Speaker:sure thing to get that under your belt.
Speaker:And then as you progress, then maybe
Speaker:you can start to be a little bit more,
Speaker:more obscure and do the things that
Speaker:are a little bit kind of quirkier or
Speaker:you probably have a smaller audience.
Speaker:But if, if the point is to grow and reach
Speaker:more people, then you want to try and do
Speaker:that more strategically by having content
Speaker:that makes more sense in that space.
Speaker:So that's why I say vidIQ is
Speaker:actually a game changing tool.
Speaker:Like I really, really enjoy using it and
Speaker:I would recommend it to you for sure.
Speaker:I'll put a link in the description below.
Speaker:We are an affiliate of vidIQ.
Speaker:We only affiliate with things
Speaker:that we actually use and we love.

Speaker:that link, then that helps us out.
Speaker:And that's really nice.
Speaker:Thank you very much.
Speaker:If you want help building out a content
Speaker:plan, let's say you're going into this
Speaker:next year and you feel like you want
Speaker:someone to help you build out the content
Speaker:to make sure it's good, to make sure
Speaker:it's structured, to do the keywords.
Speaker:So if you're searching for you, all
Speaker:that sort of stuff, then you can
Speaker:definitely book in for a content
Speaker:planning strategy session with us here.

Speaker:I hope that the content planning
Speaker:here makes sense to you now.
Speaker:There are some really good tools both
Speaker:free and paid that you can go to.
Speaker:And you can use them to
Speaker:make your content better.
Speaker:Because at the end of the day, that is
Speaker:what people are going to come back for.
Speaker:If your content is good, and you have
Speaker:a personality, you will get people
Speaker:listening, engaging, watching your show.
Speaker:You just need to make sure that
Speaker:you're not flying by the seat
Speaker:of your pants all the time.
Speaker:And just, oh crap, what am I
Speaker:going to speak on this week?
Speaker:And just thinking of it.
Speaker:Sometimes that works, but if you're
Speaker:trying to grow further, if you're trying
Speaker:to reach more people, if you're trying to
Speaker:make bigger impact, if you're trying to,
Speaker:get new people into your world, it helps.
