Podcast Launch Strategy: A Step-by-Step Guide with Social Media Promotion
I’ve seen so many new podcasts launch with next to no promotion behind them.
Then they wonder why they didn’t receive as many downloads as they thought they should have.
They’ve told their friends and family, put a few graphics or videos out across social media, and they feel like that’s plenty.
But it lands a little softer than they anticipated.
There are also podcasters out there that are so nervous about putting their show out, that they don’t want to promote it.
And that’s all well and good if you’re just testing the waters, or you don’t really want anyone to know about your show until you feel like you’ve found your feet.
But I’m not talking to that podcaster here.
I’m talking to the podcaster who wants to make the most of their new podcast launch. The podcaster who wants to make sure they squeeze as much out of their launch as possible, without spending money on ads or other paid strategies.
This is purely a strategy for those of you who want to use social media, email marketing and good ol’ fashioned word of mouth to help promote their new podcast.
So, here’s the exact strategy I recommend to our clients, and we use ourselves here at Bamby Media.

We are going through today
Speaker:how to launch your podcast.
Speaker:What should your runway look like?
Speaker:What have we seen that works?
Speaker:And what are some things that I
Speaker:think you should try to make sure
Speaker:that you are giving it the best
Speaker:chance of success once you get going?
Speaker:First thing we're going to do is we're
Speaker:going to talk about three weeks out.
Speaker:So three weeks out from the launch,
Speaker:the first thing I want you to do,
Speaker:it seems quite obvious, but it is
Speaker:start talking about the fact that
Speaker:you have a podcast coming out.
Speaker:So this can be on socials, it can be
Speaker:in your email newsletter, it can be
Speaker:via SMS to your friends and family,
Speaker:it can be on other people's podcasts.
Speaker:So if you're going to be a guest
Speaker:on other shows, then you would
Speaker:talk about your show coming.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:This would be in any forums
Speaker:that you're a part of or any
Speaker:communities that you're a part of.
Speaker:Things like if you're on Discord
Speaker:or Reddit or stuff like that,
Speaker:that you comment on things all the
Speaker:time, then this can be a really
Speaker:good place to let people know that
Speaker:you've got something coming as well.
Speaker:It's not enough to just be like,
Speaker:Hey guys, I've got this show coming.
Speaker:I hope you love it and you
Speaker:get really excited about it.
Speaker:They're not really going to get
Speaker:as excited about it as you would
Speaker:and that makes sense because
Speaker:it's your show not theirs.
Speaker:So you can't expect them to
Speaker:be super pumped about it.
Speaker:What you're trying to do at
Speaker:this stage is create mystery.
Speaker:So you start talking about
Speaker:the fact that you have this.
Speaker:thing coming, but don't tell people
Speaker:what the name of the show is yet.
Speaker:I want it to be more gamified if you can.
Speaker:So if you, and you could say that I've
Speaker:got something coming, not even say
Speaker:that it's a podcast to begin with, and
Speaker:you could gamify it and be like, Hey,
Speaker:What do you think is about to launch?
Speaker:And you could get
Speaker:people to comment on it.
Speaker:It would increase your engagement.
Speaker:You could do some graphics around it.
Speaker:Uh, you could do them just within
Speaker:Canva, or you could recreate a reel
Speaker:perhaps, or something that you put
Speaker:on socials, somewhere where people
Speaker:can actually comment and get in
Speaker:on the conversation more so than I
Speaker:would probably not suggest doing it
Speaker:on like YouTube shorts or something
Speaker:like that, because the engagement
Speaker:on that isn't as You're not going to
Speaker:get the same sort of back and forth.
Speaker:So create mystery.
Speaker:Once you've done that bit,
Speaker:you've created a bit of mystery.
Speaker:Don't leave it too long before
Speaker:you give them more sort of clues.
Speaker:I guess videos of behind the
Speaker:scenes of you recording of going
Speaker:to guest interviews of, uh, you
Speaker:know, your Riverside sessions
Speaker:of your graphics being created.
Speaker:People are absolute suckers
Speaker:for behind the scenes content.
Speaker:And so if you manage to do that in the
Speaker:lead up to your podcast, you're going
Speaker:to have a lot of things that you can
Speaker:sort of spread to people, let them know
Speaker:about, to give them a bit of something
Speaker:to anticipate, to get excited about.
Speaker:I would definitely recommend some behind
Speaker:the scenes content that you share within
Speaker:that three week out kind of realm.
Speaker:Now, once it's been established
Speaker:that yes, it is a podcast, let's say
Speaker:you've created the mystery on like
Speaker:day one, and then day two, you're
Speaker:sort of doing some behind the scenes.
Speaker:You've got some graphics and
Speaker:things that maybe are showcasing
Speaker:maybe the thing that's coming.
Speaker:Then as you create the
Speaker:podcast on the podcast.
Speaker:So if you want to go and get
Speaker:further into that week, obviously
Speaker:people will have commented.
Speaker:A lot of people may have said what it is.
Speaker:Yes, it's a podcast.
Speaker:So you can announce a winner.
Speaker:Then you can do some sort of giveaway.
Speaker:But what you would also do is then
Speaker:start to get a little bit vulnerable.
Speaker:So vulnerability is really important
Speaker:because this is where you can start to
Speaker:go, especially if it's your first show.
Speaker:You can go look, guys, I've
Speaker:actually never done this before.
Speaker:Like I'm quite.
Speaker:nervous about how this is going to go.
Speaker:I've done a lot of work with my podcast
Speaker:producer, if you happen to have one.
Speaker:And I feel like it's, it's pretty
Speaker:solid, but these are the feelings
Speaker:that are coming up for me.
Speaker:So share your feelings,
Speaker:share your failings.
Speaker:And if you do that, then you're going
Speaker:to get people more invested in the
Speaker:fact that you've got a show coming.
Speaker:Also in this third week, if you're
Speaker:planning on having a podcast landing
Speaker:page somewhere on your website where
Speaker:people can engage with the actual
Speaker:podcast itself, I would start, if
Speaker:you haven't already, building that.
Speaker:You can actually have that created very
Speaker:easily if you don't have a website.
Speaker:You can, if you have like a podcast
Speaker:host like Buzzsprout or, you know,
Speaker:Or there's a few of them that do
Speaker:it, actually, where you can have
Speaker:this page that has its own URL.
Speaker:You can just link it to that so
Speaker:that when the podcast is live,
Speaker:all the episodes are in there.
Speaker:That's like the simplest version of
Speaker:having a landing page, but it definitely
Speaker:doesn't do much as far as SEO or
Speaker:helping you actually rank on anything.
Speaker:So it's not something I would
Speaker:recommend, but if you don't have a
Speaker:website and you're like, ah, I'm not
Speaker:going to build a whole website just
Speaker:from a flippin podcast, then there
Speaker:is other things that you can do.
Speaker:But not really my recommendation.
Speaker:So now we've done three weeks out.
Speaker:We start talking about it on socials.
Speaker:If you've got an email newsletter, SMS
Speaker:your friends and family, let them know
Speaker:what's coming or get them to guess.
Speaker:Be on other podcasts, mention
Speaker:it on communities, create
Speaker:mystery around this show.
Speaker:Then you want to have proof.
Speaker:You want to have videos behind
Speaker:the scenes, things that people can
Speaker:engage with graphics, stuff that
Speaker:makes it like an anticipation.
Speaker:Then you want to actually announce
Speaker:it, and you can announce a winner if
Speaker:there's someone that guessed first.
Speaker:You could, it could be a
Speaker:giveaway, whatever you want.
Speaker:Then you want to get vulnerable.
Speaker:So you want to start talking about
Speaker:your feelings, the emotions, what's
Speaker:coming up for you, the things
Speaker:that have been going wrong, the
Speaker:things that have been going right.
Speaker:And then you also want to establish,
Speaker:if you can, some sort of landing page.
Speaker:What's that going to look like
Speaker:if you're going to have one?
Speaker:Because you do want to drive
Speaker:some traffic, uh, somewhere.
Speaker:Okay?
Speaker:That isn't just the podcast players.
Speaker:You want to have it be somewhere else
Speaker:that they can find out more about you,
Speaker:especially if your show is trying to get
Speaker:them to work with you in some capacity.
Speaker:Now, let's move on to two
Speaker:weeks out from the launch.
Speaker:Alright, two weeks out, we want
Speaker:to officially announce the name.
Speaker:There should really be a bit of a hoo
Speaker:ha about this, so whether that's a
Speaker:reel, whether that's some sort of fancy
Speaker:graphic where the name is exploding
Speaker:from something, or, you know, just make
Speaker:it as fun as you can, because you only
Speaker:get a chance to launch your show once.
Speaker:When you announce the name, You
Speaker:want it to be just like a big party.
Speaker:So think about how you could talk about
Speaker:the show and announce the name in a
Speaker:way that is more creative than here's
Speaker:my graphic, here's, here's the show.
Speaker:What else?
Speaker:Come on, give me something.
Speaker:Then you want to explain a little
Speaker:bit about what the podcast is
Speaker:actually going to be about.
Speaker:So you give them the name of the
Speaker:podcast, but then you also give them
Speaker:the explanation, and this can't be some
Speaker:big, you know, huge, just bunch of text
Speaker:on like an Instagram post where there's
Speaker:this big explanation, no one's going
Speaker:to read all that, keep it simple, but
Speaker:I want you to get these things out.
Speaker:Who is it for?
Speaker:Why is it happening?
Speaker:Why you?
Speaker:And then the emotion around it.
Speaker:So what, how is it making you feel?
Speaker:How do you hope that it's
Speaker:going to make others feel?
Speaker:You must connect with the emotion
Speaker:of the person that you're trying to
Speaker:get to actually listen to your show.
Speaker:So really think about that.
Speaker:At this stage as well, it's
Speaker:really great to get the community
Speaker:involved and make them feel like
Speaker:they're a part of your launch.
Speaker:So this can be, again, you could
Speaker:shout out and do another giveaway.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:This could be in the form of, you know,
Speaker:the first five people to comment or
Speaker:like this post, which is announcing the
Speaker:name of the show, get a free 30 minute
Speaker:consult with me or get a shout out or
Speaker:in my first episode of the podcast,
Speaker:whatever it is, some sort of way to
Speaker:get the community to be like, Oh yeah,
Speaker:yes, I definitely want to be involved.
Speaker:Give them an opportunity, give
Speaker:them a way that they can become
Speaker:involved with your actual podcast.
Speaker:The other thing you could do there,
Speaker:which I've seen some of our clients do
Speaker:is actually announce like a launch party.
Speaker:So part of the giveaway could be that
Speaker:they get to attend the launch party.
Speaker:The other thing that's cool about
Speaker:a launch party is no one needs
Speaker:to know how big it is either.
Speaker:So you could say, and I'm having a launch
Speaker:party, and it could actually just be
Speaker:you and your friends and your family.
Speaker:You know, that's it.
Speaker:It doesn't need to be some huge launch
Speaker:where a bunch of people are invited
Speaker:and you don't have to have it that the
Speaker:giveaway means that they can attend
Speaker:the party because maybe that will be
Speaker:super lame that you've got some random
Speaker:person coming to your family house
Speaker:to your house to attend your launch
Speaker:party but having hype is super fun and
Speaker:it doesn't have to be Like this huge
Speaker:deal, just make some sort of hype, even
Speaker:just the way I'm talking now, I get
Speaker:really excited just generally in life.
Speaker:And if you can have that kind of
Speaker:energy, when you're talking about your
Speaker:podcast, that's going to just convert
Speaker:so much better into actual listeners.
Speaker:So that's kind of what
Speaker:Two Weeks Out is about.
Speaker:You're just announcing the name of the
Speaker:show, you're announcing what it's for,
Speaker:like who it's for, why it's happening
Speaker:now, why it's you that's going to deliver
Speaker:it, the emotion around it, and then
Speaker:some sort of giveaway or think about
Speaker:a launch party, create hype, get it
Speaker:established, get people excited about
Speaker:the fact that this thing is coming
Speaker:and that it very well may be something
Speaker:that they will find really interesting.
Speaker:That's Two Weeks Out.
Speaker:Now let's move on.
Speaker:Make sure, first thing I want to say
Speaker:is Make sure you have some things
Speaker:ready to share in that launch week.
Speaker:So I want graphics of the podcast.
Speaker:I want guests.
Speaker:If you've got them coming up, do
Speaker:they have individual graphics?
Speaker:I want reels to showcase this
Speaker:is coming and it's almost there
Speaker:and it's behind the scenes and
Speaker:it's snippets from the episodes.
Speaker:Oh, if you have the opportunity to
Speaker:create a trailer, or if you have a
Speaker:podcast production team or someone
Speaker:that can help you, a trailer of
Speaker:what's coming is a really good idea.
Speaker:I want you to share
Speaker:this stuff far and wide.
Speaker:Anywhere that you can think of that
Speaker:you should share this, share it.
Speaker:So, as all those places that
Speaker:we talked about in week three,
Speaker:I want you to do it again.
Speaker:And you should have also included
Speaker:in that second week, I should have
Speaker:included in the second week, Uh, talk
Speaker:about it again in your newsletter so
Speaker:that if you have a newsletter so that
Speaker:they're getting reminded in one week
Speaker:out, you've got all the graphics.
Speaker:You've got snippets of the
Speaker:actual episodes that are coming.
Speaker:If you've got a trailer that you can put
Speaker:together, doesn't have to be diary of
Speaker:a CEO level, just something that really
Speaker:showcases what it is that's coming.
Speaker:And if you.
Speaker:In saying that as well, you can also then
Speaker:announce your actual trailer episode.
Speaker:So I do a separate video on
Speaker:what the trailer episode is.
Speaker:The trailer episode essentially
Speaker:is like five minutes long.
Speaker:It depends on how many episodes you've
Speaker:already had edited and whether you can
Speaker:do certain styles of trailer, but you
Speaker:can keep it simple and just have it be
Speaker:an explanation of what the show is about.
Speaker:Go to my episode, which I'll
Speaker:link that talks about trailers
Speaker:specifically as to the kind of
Speaker:things that you can do with trailers.
Speaker:And this is the week to
Speaker:announce that that trailer is
Speaker:there for people to listen to.
Speaker:I like to have this kind
Speaker:of couple of days out.
Speaker:So within that last one week to go a
Speaker:couple of days out, the trailer kind
Speaker:of drops so that people have it there
Speaker:and they're ready to roll with it.
Speaker:Now the reason I say for the trailer
Speaker:episode for it to be just a couple
Speaker:of days out from the launch is if
Speaker:you have the trailer episode sitting
Speaker:there for too long before the rest
Speaker:of the episodes drop, it actually
Speaker:doesn't help your launch numbers.
Speaker:And we will go into that next bit.
Speaker:As far as the actual episodes dropping
Speaker:how to do that strategically in a moment.
Speaker:The last thing I want to say is make
Speaker:sure that all the content is ready
Speaker:for the episodes that you're going
Speaker:to release within the first week.
Speaker:And we're about to go into
Speaker:what that actually looks like.
Speaker:So everything is in the back end of
Speaker:Buzzsprout or Omni Studio or Captivate or
Speaker:whoever you decide to host a show with.
Speaker:We recommend Captivate.
Speaker:One of our Favorite podcast hosts.
Speaker:If you have that already there, then
Speaker:you'll know that you're set and it's
Speaker:really important that you feel organized,
Speaker:that you don't feel flustered so that
Speaker:when you hit go and the launch day is
Speaker:upon you, when you've got episodes coming
Speaker:out, you know, that you've done the work,
Speaker:that the episodes are already in there.
Speaker:They're ready to rock.
Speaker:You've done your show notes for them.
Speaker:They've got good keywords in there.
Speaker:They've got episode graphics for
Speaker:individual, individual episodes.
Speaker:Have you ticked off every box that you
Speaker:could potentially, possibly, tick off?
Speaker:tick off.
Speaker:Is anything missing?
Speaker:And once you're like, yep, everything's
Speaker:set, and I've got a bunch of video
Speaker:snippets, and I've got graphics, and I've
Speaker:got a trailer that I've put together,
Speaker:and I've got a trailer episode that
Speaker:I'm dropping just a couple of days
Speaker:out, then you know, okay, I can relax.
Speaker:It's, it's actually a really good week
Speaker:to kind of get a little bit more relaxed.
Speaker:Now we're going to go into
Speaker:what actually happens.
Speaker:in that launch week.
Speaker:Oh, baby!
Speaker:This is a good time.
Speaker:This is a very fun time.
Speaker:Day of release.
Speaker:I want you to share the episode graphic.
Speaker:To the feed of any social channels
Speaker:that you have with a very excited
Speaker:comment to go with it So this
Speaker:should be a big announcement.
Speaker:This should be a big deal for
Speaker:the people They know it's coming
Speaker:because you've been announcing it.
Speaker:You've been talking about it You haven't
Speaker:been shoving it down their throats, but
Speaker:you have been talking about it enough
Speaker:that people will Even if they're tuning
Speaker:in irregularly, they know that this thing
Speaker:has been coming, so be excited about it.
Speaker:I would try and drop that at a
Speaker:time that makes sense for you from
Speaker:within your insights on socials
Speaker:and also to your newsletter.
Speaker:What time is it most likely that you're
Speaker:going to get the best response from that?
Speaker:So just make sure that you check
Speaker:your actual insights into when
Speaker:you share the episode graphic.
Speaker:This doesn't have to be a
Speaker:graphic, it can be a video snippet
Speaker:if you have a video snippet.
Speaker:That you haven't already used.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Cool.
Speaker:If you can, I'd also create a carousel.
Speaker:If you're using socials like
Speaker:Instagram, TikTok even does
Speaker:that now too, doesn't it?
Speaker:Anyway, I don't use TikTok really.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:So I'd share it as a carousel with
Speaker:like maybe an image is the first one
Speaker:and then the next ones would be video.
Speaker:And then I would also test
Speaker:that theory on other platforms.
Speaker:If you're sharing to LinkedIn,
Speaker:then I would suggest probably
Speaker:not doing it in that format.
Speaker:I would just share like an episode
Speaker:graphic and then maybe later on
Speaker:that day, an actual video reel.
Speaker:That's the big announcement.
Speaker:That's the big hoo ha.
Speaker:I'd also, if you're on socials, get
Speaker:in your stories, like Insta stories or
Speaker:TikTok stories and things like that,
Speaker:being excited, do a dance, whatever feels
Speaker:like exciting for you, whatever way you
Speaker:want to announce it in your stories,
Speaker:because people are going to connect to
Speaker:you differently on different platforms.
Speaker:in different places within the platform.
Speaker:Uh, and so, yeah, make sure you're
Speaker:kind of covering your bases there.
Speaker:And then within that sort of release
Speaker:day, the actual episodes that I want
Speaker:you to drop now, this depends on how
Speaker:many episodes you actually have ready.
Speaker:I always say to have as many ready
Speaker:as you can, because creating a bit
Speaker:of a binge is always a good thing.
Speaker:Uh, but I ideally want you to drop.
Speaker:So episode one is on day of release.
Speaker:And we also want, if we can,
Speaker:episode 2 on day of release.
Speaker:So now we've got trailer episode, episode
Speaker:1 and episode 2 coming out on the actual
Speaker:day that everything's being released.
Speaker:Well, the trailer's a couple of days out.
Speaker:So that there's a couple of
Speaker:episodes for people to connect
Speaker:with, but not all of them.
Speaker:You still want to be able to drip feed
Speaker:throughout the week so that there's
Speaker:other instances where you physically can
Speaker:talk about your episodes again without
Speaker:it being like weird or stale because
Speaker:you've got more episodes to share.
Speaker:So you've got more
Speaker:video snippets to share.
Speaker:You've got more things
Speaker:that you need to share.
Speaker:So then we do day two.
Speaker:Then we want to go with ep 3.
Speaker:Mm hmm.
Speaker:And similar format, just a video snippet.
Speaker:This is what's coming.
Speaker:If you missed it, if you missed the
Speaker:episodes from the last couple of days or
Speaker:from my announcements, here's the things.
Speaker:Okay, so episode 3.
Speaker:And then day 4, ep 4.
Speaker:And then we go day 5.
Speaker:We go no episode on day 5.
Speaker:This gives you a chance to talk about
Speaker:the fact that there's a bunch of
Speaker:episodes that people can connect with
Speaker:without you releasing another one.
Speaker:So that it gives people an opportunity
Speaker:to engage without being bombarded
Speaker:with more episodes at this point.
Speaker:Now I know this feels like, look, why
Speaker:don't I just release them all at once?
Speaker:But trust me, this is a really
Speaker:nice method to make sure that
Speaker:the download numbers, okay, are a
Speaker:bit more strategic in that week.
Speaker:Okay, and so then we also
Speaker:ask anyone have any feedback?
Speaker:Have you been listening?
Speaker:What have you liked?
Speaker:What would you like
Speaker:me to talk about next?
Speaker:Anything that's missing so far?
Speaker:I'm looking for feedback
Speaker:because it's my first time with
Speaker:a show, so help me help you.
Speaker:And so feedback is really good on that
Speaker:kind of rest day, I guess we could say.
Speaker:Do that there.
Speaker:Okay, and then the day It's up to you.
Speaker:I like to have at least one more
Speaker:episode in here in this launch week.
Speaker:Now, the other thing that you're
Speaker:doing through here, check your
Speaker:stats, check your downloads, probably
Speaker:Day four, you should also check
Speaker:your ranking, your chart ranking.
Speaker:So that is on Chartable, and I
Speaker:would check that day of release.
Speaker:Screenshot whatever it says in Chartable.
Speaker:Just screenshot it.
Speaker:Don't have to share
Speaker:it, just screenshot it.
Speaker:Then day two, check it again.
Speaker:Day four, check it again.
Speaker:Day five.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Day six.
Speaker:I'd probably do that.
Speaker:Check it in screenshot it
Speaker:on repeat during the week.
Speaker:Now this, let me just
Speaker:make this really clear.
Speaker:This is a charts ranking
Speaker:for the free version.
Speaker:I think it's just Apple podcasts, so
Speaker:it's not going to capture everybody.
Speaker:It is a vanity metric.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:It doesn't mean as much
Speaker:as you think it does.
Speaker:Uh, it's all well and
Speaker:good to be like, Hey guys.
Speaker:I got to the top of whatever chart.
Speaker:I'm, you know, number five
Speaker:in health and wellness.
Speaker:It's a really good thing to shout
Speaker:out, to be excited about for
Speaker:yourself, to be in the rankings.
Speaker:We've kind of strategically made this
Speaker:happen a little bit by releasing a
Speaker:bunch of episodes in that first week.
Speaker:So it's not something necessarily
Speaker:that's going to continue.
Speaker:You might start to drop off when you
Speaker:go down to at one episode a week, your
Speaker:chart ranking, isn't going to continue
Speaker:to be high potentially, depending on
Speaker:the size of the show, depending on
Speaker:the size of your market, your social
Speaker:media, following your email list.
Speaker:There are so many things I could
Speaker:get into here about all of that and
Speaker:how it actually helps the growth.
Speaker:of your show, but just know that that
Speaker:chartable thing, it's a vanity metric.
Speaker:It's something that's fun to
Speaker:announce, but it doesn't mean
Speaker:a lot over the long term.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:It can be that if you're ranking
Speaker:highly, like we've had a couple
Speaker:of clients that they got a lot
Speaker:of downloads in their first week.
Speaker:you're Even within their first couple
Speaker:of days, because they had other
Speaker:things, we knew how to grow them.
Speaker:We knew what their channels were doing,
Speaker:all that, that they would actually,
Speaker:they got into like Spotify Hot Pick
Speaker:of the Week and Apple Hot Pick.
Speaker:That actually happened from
Speaker:the strategy around it.
Speaker:Releasing multiple episodes, having
Speaker:it be bingeable within that first
Speaker:week, and then Apple and Spotify saw
Speaker:those metrics, saw those numbers and
Speaker:went, Oh, wow, this is a hot pick.
Speaker:This is a trend.
Speaker:People are really listening to it.
Speaker:So this can really work in your favor.
Speaker:This is why I want you to think about
Speaker:how much work you can do prior as in
Speaker:recording, getting your content sorted,
Speaker:having enough batched so that you can
Speaker:actually release as many as possible.
Speaker:that gives you a higher chance of being
Speaker:in the charts, of being a hot pick, but
Speaker:I don't want you to obsess about it.
Speaker:I don't want you to be like, Oh man,
Speaker:I'm not that high in the charts.
Speaker:Who cares?
Speaker:Like, honestly, over the long run, it
Speaker:doesn't make that much of a difference
Speaker:unless you're in the real top, top of the
Speaker:charts, not just within your category,
Speaker:but Overall, if you're getting quite
Speaker:high in the charts, then yes, you show
Speaker:up on the main news feed, like the
Speaker:main page, and you've definitely got
Speaker:access to a higher audience count there.
Speaker:Don't obsess.
Speaker:Just, I guess that's what I'm saying.
Speaker:Just don't obsess over your
Speaker:numbers and your rankings.
Speaker:The key to a successful launch
Speaker:is feeling like you've done it.
Speaker:Okay?
Speaker:Feeling like.
Speaker:It was an achievement that it's out
Speaker:there and that now what is the goal of
Speaker:you is to stay flippant, consistent.
Speaker:There is a thing called flippancy.
Speaker:Podfade.
Speaker:It's a very real thing that
Speaker:you hear people talk about.
Speaker:They get to like seven, eight
Speaker:episodes and then it's like, oh,
Speaker:I've run out of momentum now.
Speaker:I'm, I think I need a nap.
Speaker:You know, when they just stop
Speaker:releasing their podcasts.
Speaker:Podfade is a real thing.
Speaker:I don't want you to end up there.
Speaker:So, Organize yourself, strategize,
Speaker:get your episodes sorted, do a
Speaker:proper launch plan, mark things
Speaker:out in your diary, and you're just
Speaker:going to be way more successful.
Speaker:You're just going to have
Speaker:such a better time as well.
Speaker:It's going to be way more, way
Speaker:more exciting and it's going to
Speaker:feel like more of a big deal.
